Kidney beans or Rajma are popularly used in many cuisines and particularly in Indian and Pakistani cuisine. They are soaked and cooked and are a very good source of protein and fiber and are rich in folate and magnesium making them heart-healthy food. Red kidney beans have a low glycemic index making them an ideal food for diabetics.
